Belleville Cops Nab Heroin, Crack, Coke During Traffic Stop

Belleville police say that officers intercepted an alleged drug deal on Marion Court.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — The Belleville Police Department’s newly formed Street Crimes Unit disrupted an alleged drug delivery on Monday, seizing heroin, crack-cocaine and marijuana in the process, authorities say.

According to the Belleville Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop on Marion Court on Monday, seizing 32 glassine envelopes of heroin, 41 bags of crack-cocaine, 16 bags of cocaine and 23 bags of marijuana in the process.

Police arrested the driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old male from Newark, and charged him with multiple “narcotics-related offenses,” authorities said.

Belleville police also arrested a 52-year-old Marion Court resident during the incident and charged him with wandering with the intent to purchase narcotics, authorities said.
