“Alongside my family, I've recently decided that Silver Lake needs a new voice on the council that can represent today's First Ward: I will not be running for re-election this May.
“As I step back from my dedicated years of service to the First Ward, I would be thrilled to endorse and support Tracy Juanita Williams if she chooses to run for the position of First Ward councilwoman.
“Having gotten to know Tracy over the last few years, she is nothing short of a brilliant, motivated, young professional who wants the very best for all who call Belleville home.
“I have full confidence that Tracy Juanita Williams would bring a needed change and serve as an outstanding member of the council, she would offer a new voice and a fresh perspective to the council.
“I hope you can join me in supporting Tracy. Thank you for your support as always.”
