A Belleville deli owner suffered a slashing injury during an armed robbery, but was back on the job the next day, a report says.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — A Belleville deli owner suffered a slashing injury during an armed robbery on Sunday, but was back on the job Monday, a report says.

Belleville police told NorthJersey.com that the owner of Pat's Village Deli on Newark Avenue was slashed when a pair of men - one allegedly armed with a rifle and another with a sharp object – robbed his store and made off with about $300 from the cash register.

Police said that the victim was transported to University Medical Center in Newark and treated for his injury, which was not life-threatening.
