Belleville Gas Station Worker Robbed At Knifepoint
Belleville police said the worker was sitting in his kiosk when a man entered the booth and put a knife to his throat.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — A Belleville gas station employee was robbed at knifepoint earlier this month, police say.
According to the Belleville Police Department, a worker at Barbone’s Service Center on Franklin Avenue was sitting in his kiosk around 8:33 a.m. on Nov. 19 when a man entered the booth, put a knife to his throat and demanded money.
The employee turned over $255 in cash to the man, who then grabbed multiple packs of cigarettes and fled the area on foot, police said.

The worker described the suspect as a white male wearing a beige coat, black hat and carrying a black bag. Belleville police are investigating the incident; no additional information was immediately available.
