Belleville High School Students Eligible For Essex Scholarship
Are you a resident of Belleville, Bloomfield or Glen Ridge that will graduate high school this year? There may be a scholarship waiting.
BELLEVILLE, NJ — If you’re a resident of Bloomfield, Belleville or Glen Ridge that will be graduating high school this year, there may be a scholarship waiting for you, courtesy of the Suburban Essex Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
According to a Wednesday news release from the foundation, the group will award three scholarships this year. Applications are available at each town’s high school guidance office, as well as the chamber’s office at 256 Broad Street, Suite 2F in Bloomfield.
The deadline for all applications is April 28.

The criteria for the Suburban Essex Chamber of Commerce Scholarship are based on the following:
- Financial need
- Fall attendance at a college, university, or vocational school
- Intention to pursue a career that is business oriented
- Extra-curricular/community activities
- Must be a resident of Bloomfield, Belleville or Glen Ridge
- 500 word typed essay

- Acceptance letters from college(s)
