Belleville Man Allegedly Sexually Assaulted Child, 7: Prosecutor
Prosecutors allege that the sexual assault took place while Lleras was a tenant at the child's Clifton home.

Belleville, NJ – Passaic County authorities have charged a Belleville man with allegedly sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl.
According to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, Eric Lleras, 43, of Belleville, was arrested on April 25 following an investigation conducted by the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit and the Clifton Police Department.
Prosecutors allege that the sexual assault took place while Lleras was a tenant at the child's Clifton home.

Authorities charged Lleras with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, one count of second-degree sexual assault and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Prosecutors stated that aggravated sexual assault carries a maximum term of 20 years in New Jersey State Prison, with 85 percent of the sentence to be served before parole. Sexual assault carries a maximum term of 10 years in New Jersey State Prison with 85 percent of the sentence to be served before parole. Endangering the welfare of a child carries a maximum term of 10 years in New Jersey State Prison.

Lleras' bail was set at $300,000 with no 10 percent option.
