Belleville Man Almost Burglarized While Sleeping At Home: Police
A Belleville resident reported that two men attempted to burglarize his home while he was sleeping in the bedroom, police say.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — A Belleville resident reported that two men attempted to burglarize his home last week while he was sleeping in the bedroom, police say.
According to the Belleville Police Department, an Overlook Avenue resident told officers that he was sleeping in his bedroom around 2:45 p.m. on July 11 when he heard a noise that woke him up. At that time, the victim allegedly observed two men attempt to open the window and enter the room.
The suspects fled when they saw that the victim was home, police stated.

Police said the man described the first suspect as a male wearing a red shirt with black shorts, and the second suspect as a male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
