Belleville Man On E-Bike Hit By Car In Nutley: Police
The driver said the e-bike rider "appeared out of nowhere" from the upper field of Yantacaw Park, police reported.
BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — A car hit a Belleville resident who was riding an e-bike in Nutley last week, authorities recently reported.
The Nutley Police Department released the following statement about the incident, which took place on June 5:
“Police responded to Passaic Avenue at the intersection of Park Avenue regarding a bicyclist that was on an electric bike struck by a motor vehicle. The victim, a 19-year-old man from Belleville, complained of back pain and transported to an area hospital. The driver reported the bicyclist ‘appeared out of nowhere’ from the upper field of Yantacaw Park.”
No summonses have been issued at this time, police said.
