Belleville Needs 2 Residents To Serve On Rent Leveling Board

There is one Tenant Representative position and one Homeowner Representative position available.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — The Township of Belleville is seeking two residents to serve on the local Rent Leveling Board.

The position gives board members a chance to act as a voice for tenants in Belleville, and participate in decisions related to rent control and landlord-tenant relations in the community.

There is one Tenant Representative position and one Homeowner Representative position available.

Eligibility requirements for the Tenant Representative position include:

  • Must be a tenant residing in a rental property in Belleville
  • Commitment to attend regular Board meetings
  • Interest in fair housing practices and rent control policies
  • Willingness to fairly consider matters involving both tenants and property owners
