Belleville, Nutley 2019 Election: Who's Running For School Board?

Local board of education elections will take place in Belleville and Nutley. See the list of candidates.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Residents of Belleville and Nutley will vote for board of education members in the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Here’s what voters in the two towns need to know about the 2019 election.

POLLING PLACES, TIMES

Voters who need to find their local polling place can visit the New Jersey Division of Elections website. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

BELLEVILLE BOARD OF EDUCATION

In Belleville, voters will choose among seven candidates for three open seats on the board of education in the Belleville Public School District.

The candidates for 2019 are:

  • Gabrielle Bennett-Meany
  • Gynise Gotto
  • Thomas Grolimond
  • Raymond Kuebler
  • Carlos Marzan
  • Luis Muniz
  • Ralph Tunis

Three current members of the board have terms due to expire in 2020: Grolimond, Gotto and Liza Lopez.

NUTLEY BOARD OF EDUCATION

In Nutley, voters will chose among six candidates for three open seats on the board of education in the Nutley Public School District.

The candidates for 2019 are:

  • Daniel Carnicella
  • Ralph Chimento
  • Vito D'Alessio
  • Frank DeMaio
  • Charles Kucinski
  • Dominick Ritacco
