Belleville, Nutley School Election Results Certified: See Final Totals
Winners were Lissa Missaggia and Brenda Pacheco (Belleville), and Salvatore Ferraro, Lisa Danchak-Martin and Salvatore Balsamo (Nutley).

BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — It's a wrap: the results have been certified for the 2023 board of education elections in Belleville and Nutley.
The winners in Belleville were Lissa Missaggia and Brenda Pacheco.
The winners in Nutley were Salvatore Ferraro, Lisa Danchak-Martin and Salvatore Balsamo.

The Essex County Clerk's Office confirmed Wednesday that the election results from Nov. 7 have been certified. School board members are non-partisan and unpaid.
In Belleville, seven candidates ran for two open seats on the school board (each term lasts for three years): Nelson Barrera, Lissa Missaggia, Kenia Nicole Arroyuabe, Erika Jacho, Esteban Leon, Brenda Pacheco and Michael Sheldon. Here are the certified results, as per the Essex County Clerk's Office (two open seats):
- Nelson Barrera – 454 votes (8.21%)
- Lissa Missaggia – 1,289 votes (23.32%)
- Kenia Nicole Arroyuabe – 496 votes (8.97%)
- Erika Jacho – 330 votes (5.97%)
- Esteban Leon – 1,070 votes (19.36%)
- Brenda Pacheco – 1,242 votes (22.47%)
- Michael Sheldon – 647 votes (11.70%)
In Nutley, four candidates ran for three open seats on the school board (each term lasts for three years): Salvatore Balsamo, Lisa Danchak-Martin, Salvatore Ferraro and Stephen Gilberti.
Here are the certified results, as per the Essex County Clerk's Office (three open seats):
- Salvatore Balsamo – 2,695 votes (27.15%)
- Lisa Danchak-Martin – 2,749 votes (27.69%)
- Salvatore Ferraro – 2,939 votes (29.61%)
- Stephen Gilberti – 1,544 votes (15.55%)
