The fate of the local governments in Belleville and Nutley will be in voters' hands this week. Here's what to know ahead of Election Day.

BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — The fate of the local governments in Belleville and Nutley will be in the hands of local voters this week when the two towns head to the polls for their 2024 nonpartisan municipal election.
Belleville and Nutley's local elections will take place on Tuesday, May 14. Polls will open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. See a sample ballot for Belleville here, and see a sample ballot for Nutley here.

BELLEVILLE
There are four seats on Belleville's town council up for election. Terms last for four years. Candidates do not declare party affiliations in a non-partisan municipal election.

There are five seats on Nutley's board of town commissioners up for election. Terms last for four years.
Voters will get to choose from among seven candidates in Nutley:

- Maria Hamlin
- Mauro Tucci
