BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — It looks like a clear – but cold – weekend may be ahead for Belleville and Nutley.
Historically, February gets the most snow out of any month in the year in New Jersey, with monthly snowfall totals averaging about 6.6 inches of snowfall from 1971 to 2015. That’s compared to 6.4 inches in January and 32 inches in March.

Although a cold front was creeping towards the region on Thursday, sunshine is expected to make a return this weekend as drier air works its way towards Belleville and Nutley, the National Weather Service’s New York office reported.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 42. Wind chill values between 25 and 35. North wind 8 to 10 mph.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 29. North wind around 7 mph.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 45. Wind chill values between 25 and 35 early. North wind around 6 mph.
Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 29. North wind 3 to 6 mph.
