Belleville Pays Tribute To Chinese Immigrants (VIDEO)
Belleville residents paid tribute to the town's history of Chinese immigration with a flag raising ceremony.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — The township of Belleville has a deep history and connection with Chinese immigration, a history recently remembered during a recent Chinese New Year flag raising ceremony at Belleville Town Hall.
The first Chinese New Year celebration in the eastern part of the United States was held in Belleville on January 28, 1871, according to president of the Belleville Historical Society Michael Perrone.
