Belleville Police Blotter: Oct. 15 to 22

All of the following incidents are accusations, and all suspects should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.

10/15/15

Shoplifting - 9:58 a.m. - Washington Ave. – CVS Store manager reported a male walked out of store with a shopping cart full of following merchandise without paying; 5 packs Red Bull, 18 pack Scott toilet paper, and 4 Tide detergents. Suspect was confronted by store manager at which time he entered his mv and fled North on Washington Ave. Value of merchandise is $141. Suspect described as 5’9”, black hair wearing a black sweater, white t shirt and blue jeans.

10/17/15

Theft from MV - 4:16 p.m – Baldwin Pl. - Victim stated he parked his mv at approx.2100 hrs. night before. Upon returning to mv he observed his passenger door open and the following items missing from mv; 1 stereo face plate, 1 phone charger, and 1 aux input cord. Value of items is $70. The mv was a 1998 VW Passat.

10/19/15

MV Theft – 5:50 a.m. – Dewitt Ave. - Victim stated she parked her mv at approx. 1700 hrs. night before. Upon returning to mv the mv was gone. Taken was a 2002 Acura RSX red.

10/20/15

Theft from MV – 2:30 a.m. – Linden Ave. - Victim stated she heard car alarm go off at approx. 0230hrs. and then received a call that her passenger rear window was broken. Upon returning to mv she observed that bags containing text books and a purse with a debit card were missing. Value of property is approx. $700. MV was a 2015 Dodge Durango.

10/22/15

Attempted Burglary – 9:35 p.m. – Stephens St. - Victim stated he arrived home and observed his kitchen window open and there were fingerprints on the window. Upon checking the other windows he observed fingerprints on 7 of them. No entry was gained.
