Belleville Police Offer ‘Home Visits’ To Help Prevent Crime
BPD: "The community policing unit will provide an on-site visit to your home and conduct a crime prevention survey at your request."
BELLEVILLE, NJ — The Belleville Police Department is offering local residents the chance to get an on-site home visit in an effort to help prevent crime in the township.
According to a township news release:
“The Belleville Police Department wants residents to feel as secure as possible in their homes. As a service to the residents of Belleville, members of the Community Policing Unit will provide an on-site visit to your home and conduct a crime prevention survey at your request. This service is provided at no charge as part of the ongoing crime prevention efforts in the township.”
Residents who want more information or to set up an appointment can call the Community Policing Unit at 973-450-3348 or email aabate@bellevillenj.org using the subject line “REQUEST SECURITY SURVEY.”
