Belleville Police Recover Car Stolen In Lyndhurst After It Allegedly Crashes Into Light Pole

A Lyndhurst resident got their stolen car back, but not the way they wanted, according to Belleville police.

Belleville, NJ - A Lyndhurst resident got their stolen car back, but not the way they wanted.

The Belleville Police Department stated that on Nov. 24, officers recovered a damaged 2000 Jeep reported stolen from Lyndhurst after responding to a report of a downed light pole at Main and Terry Streets.

According to police, officers arrived to find a light pole down and a large amount of debris. Police also found a license plate at the scene, which matched the one for a Jeep found in a nearby lot.
