Belleville Purse Snatcher Pushes Woman To Ground: Cops
A purse snatcher in Belleville pushed a woman to the ground and stole her iPhone, cash and several credit cards, police say.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — A purse snatcher in Belleville pushed a woman to the ground and stole her iPhone, cash and several credit cards during an encounter on Franklin Avenue last week, police say.
According to the Belleville Police Department, the victim told officers that the robbery took place around 5:42 p.m. on Nov. 14 as she was walking to her car. The suspect – described as a man with a “large build” and wearing a hooded shirt – grabbed her purse and after a brief struggle, pushed her to the ground.
The man then fled the area with her purse, which contained an iPhone 7, multiple credit cards, $300 in cash and her New Jersey driver’s license, police said.

The victim said that she had pain in her knee after the incident, but she declined medical assistance, police said.
