Belleville Resident Tried To Burglarize Cars In Nutley: Police
A Belleville resident attempted to burglarize multiple cars in Nutley during a rainstorm, authorities say.
NUTLEY, NJ — A Belleville resident allegedly tried to burglarize multiple cars in Nutley last weekend during a rainstorm, authorities say.
Nutley police arrested Leman Kaifa, 29, of Belleville, who tried to enter vehicles near Lloyd and Warren streets on Saturday morning. He was charged with two counts of attempted burglary, authorities said.
Nutley Police Director Alphonse Petracco said it’s common for car thefts to take place when it’s raining outside.

Petracco added that officers made last weekend’s arrest with the help of a “vigilant resident.”
