Belleville School Board Election: See Who Filed To Run In November

Here's who you will see on the ballot November 8 when you cast your vote for school board, and their slogan (if they submitted one).

Current president Luis Muniz and vice-president Gabrielle V. Bennett-Meany are running to retain their positions, which expire in 2023. Four other non-incumbent candidates have filed.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — Two incumbents and four other candidates have filed to run for Belleville Public Schools Board of Trustees for the election November 8.

School boards generally vote on budget items and personnel related to the district public schools and related programs.

Candidates were allowed to submit slogans when they filed to run.

Current president Luis Muniz and vice-president Gabrielle V. Bennett-Meany are running to retain their positions, which expire in 2023. Ralph Tunis is not running, which leaves that spot open.

  • Ruben Angel Rodriguez, with slogan "Parents for Education."
  • Lissa Missaggia, with slogan "Excellence in Education."
  • Michael Sheldon, with slogan "$500 Tax Refunds"
  • Michael Louis Derro (slogan pending)
