BELLEVILLE, NJ — The Belleville Public School District, which is expected to see hundreds of new students over the next decade, has kicked off a new registration process for local families.

The new process – announced this week – requires parents to submit documents that prove they live in Belleville, such as a mortgage statement, lease agreement or certificate of occupancy.

The new process replaces the paper forms sent home at the beginning of each school year. Parents are being asked to re-register online. Learn more here.

However, that growth isn’t the only factor behind the jump in enrollment that’s projected to hit the township in the next 10 years, he said.

Tomko noted that the 625 new students who are expected to arrive over the next 10 years include 258 who will live at new development projects that have recently sprung up in the township.
