Belleville Sees Major Water Main Break
Belleville authorities said that the break will cause road closures and sap water pressure from several homes and businesses.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — A major water main break took place in Belleville near Washington and Belleville avenues on Friday. Authorities said that the break will cause road closures and sap water pressure from several homes and businesses.
According to a Belleville municipal advisory, the following streets will be closed at 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19:
- Belleville Ave eastbound at Union Ave to Washington Ave
- Washington Ave in both directions between Rutgers St and William St.
“Residents and businesses will experience low or no water pressure from Union Avenue to Valley Street and William Street to Academy Street starting at 9:30 p.m. tonight,” Belleville municipal officials wrote Friday.
