Belleville Store Burglarized, Cash Registers Emptied: Police

A Belleville business owner arrived at her Mill Street store to find the glass front door smashed, authorities say.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — A Belleville business owner reported that her Mill Street store’s cash registers were emptied during a recent burglary, authorities say.

According to the Belleville Police Department, the store owner told officers that she arrived at her business around 6 a.m. on March 15 to find her glass front door broken. When police officers responded to the scene, they searched the store and found that both cash registers were empty.

The victim told officers that about $200 in cash was stolen, authorities said.
