The “cbp:LLC” theatre group (formerly the Cherry Blossom Players of Belleville) will kick off their premiere season as an established LLC small business by presenting the acclaimed stage adaptation of Mitch Albom’s bestseller Tuesdays with Morrie.
The play, a semi-autobiographical piece, concerns a workaholic sports journalist attempting to reconnect with his college professor, who now suffers from Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The novel was made into a popular TV-movie in 1999, starring Jack Lemmon and “The Simpson’s” Hank Azaria.
“cbp:LLC” has opted to perform the show inside of an actual sports venue, the All American Sports Shop, 482 Stuyvesant Ave., Lyndhurst.
The two-man production will star Bill Zielinski and artistic director Ricky Franco. Show dates are Dec 2 and 3 at 8 pm and Dec. 4 at 4 pm. Tickets are $9 and $10.
There are only 43 seats available per performance. Check out the on-location setting by visiting <allamericansportsshop.net> on the Web.
“cbp:LLC” strongly suggests for this (and all future) productions that tickets be ordered in advance, no later than one day prior to opening night. ‘Day-of’ or ‘At-door’ tickets will only be sold if available. Reserved tickets not picked-up ten minutes prior to the requested performance time will be void and sold.
