Belleville Woman Arrested For Allegedly Kicking Police Officer In Leg
A Belleville police officer reportedly saw the woman yelling and cursing at patrons outside a Main Street store.

Belleville police arrested a local woman for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct on Oct. 3 after she allegedly kicked an officer in the leg.
According to police, the incident took place around 7:30 p.m. outside a store on Main Street, when an officer observed Rosalie Ellis, 50, of Belleville, “yelling and cursing” at patrons.
The officer reportedly advised Ellis to leave the area multiple times, but she she allegedly ignored him and continued yelling.

When the officer moved to arrest Ellis for disorderly conduct, she kicked the officer in the leg, police said.
She was placed under arrest after a brief struggle and charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, police stated.
