The Belleville Middle School presented a Spring Choral Concert Wednesday night at the school auditorium.
Chorus 8, directed by Amanda Mullany, and Chorus 7, directed by Chris Bleeke, performed a diverse repertoire of classic and contemporary songs including: Cantate Canon, I Am But a Small Voice, Seize the Day, Just the Way You Are, Sinner Man, Furaha!, Shenandoah and Eye of the Tiger.
It was an hour of pure auditory pleasure as the students’ musical gifts were exhibited. Each song featured different vocal soloists as well as instrumentalists. The song Furaha, which means Joy in Swahili, even featured several percussion instruments, giving it a distinct, ethnic flavor.

For the final song, Chorus 7 and 8 joined together in singing “We Are the World 25 for Haiti,” which elicited a loud round of applause from the audience.
