Bloomfield Driver Hits Boy On Bike In Nutley; No Injuries: Police
Although the youth's bicycle was damaged, no injuries took place. But the driver was "shaken by the incident," authorities said.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A driver from Bloomfield recently hit a boy riding his bike in Nutley, but although the youth’s bicycle was damaged, no injuries took place, police announced Friday.
According to the Nutley Police Department, a driver “inadvertently struck a 10-year-old boy who was riding his bike along the roadway on March 11 near Church and Prospect streets.
No injuries were reported, but the bicycle was damaged. The child’s mother responded to scene and declined medical attention, police said.

Emergency responders also checked on the driver, who was “shaken by the incident,” authorities said.
