A number of personnel were appointed to positions during a special meeting of the Belleville Board of Education held late last week.
During a special meeting 7:30 am last Friday Aug. 26, the board appointed three vice-principals: Aida Cardona and Joseph Rotonda at Belleville High School and Ricardo Acosta at Belleville MIddle School. The move comes after Russell Pagano, who had served as a vice-principal at BHS, was named principal at the school, replacing Joseph Petrillo, who abruptly resigned earlier this year.
A number of substitute employees were also approved, including substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians and a substitute bus aide.
The next meeting of the Belleville Board of Education will be held Sept. 12 at 8 pm at Belleville High School, 100 Passaic Ave.
