One person was shot in a police-involved shooting on Wednesday, police said.
A Belleville police officer shot a criminal suspect Wednesday afternoon, Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Fennelly of the Essex County Prosecutor's Office told nj.com.
The shooting occurred in the 300 block of Joralemon Street, according to the report, and the incident was still under investigation late Wednesday night.
