NUTLEY, NJ — More details have been released about a home burglary and car theft that recently took place in Nutley.
According to the Nutley Police Department, the incident took place on May 24 on Pauline Drive.
Authorities previously released the following information about the burglary on social media:

“Nutley police responded to a residence on Pauline Drive at approximately 5:10 a.m. on Saturday morning [May 24] when the resident reported an unknown individual shattered her window and unlawfully entered her residence. The suspect took the keys to her vehicle and fled the scene in it. This is actively being investigated by the Nutley Police Detective Bureau at this time.”
Nutley authorities released additional details about the incident in a recent police blotter entry:
“Officers responded on report of a burglary. The resident stated that they heard a loud crash and upon going to check, they observed a window was shattered. The victim stated that they went to their front door and observed an unknown individual inside their vehicle and individual fled the scene in their vehicle. They stated that they observed a small, white SUV following behind their vehicle. The victim advised officers that their wallet containing multiple credit cards was attached to their keys.”
The surrounding area was canvassed for further information, and the detective bureau was advised and arrived on scene, police said.
