Come find lots of handmade items: Christmas ornaments, baby blankets &amp; sweaters, candles, soaps, greeting cards, jewelry, homemade cakes, cookies, and jams, gluten-free desserts, white elephant table, thrift shop and much, much more!! Frank Vincent Marina is located next to Applebee’s on Passaic Avenue in Kearny. There will be many vendors selling an array of merchandise from new items to gently used 2nd hand items, collectibles and so much more. With the cost of everything rising the flea market is a good option to find reasonably priced items. Flea markets are traditionally more affordable for everyday household items, clothing, personal products, essentials, kids' toys, and more. Are you or someone you know looking to join New Jersey’s largest law enforcement agency? This Fall, the <a href="https://www.nj.gov/corrections/pages/index.shtml" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">New Jersey Department of Corrections</a> (NJDOC) will host a series of Recruitment Open Houses
at various locations throughout the state of New Jersey. 
An Open House will be held on Thursday, November 19 from 4-7 p.m. at Essex County College’s Siegler Hall (303 University Ave, Newark, NJ 07102). This event is free and open to all individuals who are interested in becoming NJDOC Correctional Police Officers.
At each Open House, individuals can meet with NJDOC Recruitment Officers and learn more about the hiring process – from information on salary/benefits and qualifications, to the physical fitness requirements, insights into NJDOC’s Training Academy and the roles and responsibilities of Correctional Police Officers. Individuals can also receive onsite assistance filling out the application and guidance on next steps with the application process.
Individuals will also have the opportunity to meet with officers from specialized units and learn more about the many a variety of unique <a href="https://www.nj.gov/corrections/joindoc/apply/career-paths/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">career paths</a> within the Department, including positions within the nine NJDOC facilities, along with a variety of specialty tracks, including: Special Operations Group, which specializes in K-9s, designated marksmen and critical incident negotiation; Special Investigations Division, which specializes in investigations, fugitive and corrections intelligence; the Office of Emergency Management, which provides advanced security planning for high profile events; and more.

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 105 is holding a Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday, November 22, 2026 at the DAV in Belleville (612 Mill Street) from 2pm to 6pm.
It is a $15 donation per person and all Veterans that come and show ID will eat for free as our way of saying thank you for your service this holiday season.
All money raised from this event is going towards ALA Dept Of NJ April Showers project. This project will benefit the New Jersey National Guard Child and Youth program, as well as help us throw a picnic for them in April 2027 to coincide with month of the military child.
