Car Burglary Attempts End In Arrests: Nutley Police
Police in Nutley and Belleville teamed up to apprehend two juveniles who have been accused of attempted car burglary, authorities said.
BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — Police in Nutley and Belleville recently teamed up to apprehend two juveniles who have been accused of attempted car burglary, authorities said.
The Nutley Police Department released the following statement about the arrests:
“At approximately 10:45 p.m. on [March 28], Belleville police notified Nutley that they received a report of two males wearing ski masks trying door handles in their jurisdiction. Our officers canvassed our town and located two juveniles attempting to enter vehicles along Ohlson Avenue and Ridge Road.”
Nutley police said the two juveniles – each 16-year-old Newark residents – were charged with attempted burglary, conspiracy and hindering by providing false names. Both were released to their parents pending juvenile hearing.
