Car Crimes In Nutley: Attempted Theft, Vehicle Rummaged Through
Three suspicious incidents involving vehicles were recently reported in Nutley, police said.

NUTLEY, NJ — Three suspicious incidents involving vehicles were recently reported in Nutley, police said.
The Nutley Police Department released the following details about each incident:
Jan. 30 (River Road) – “Officers responded to a report of a past occurred attempted theft from a vehicle. The party stated they observed the vehicle rummaged through and the glove box left open. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.”

Jan. 30 (Durant Place) – “Officers responded on two attempted thefts from vehicles. The actors attempted to enter one vehicle but due to it being locked, they were unsuccessful. The actors entered the second vehicle, but nothing was reported missing.”
Jan. 31 (East Centre Street) – “Officers responded to a report of an attempted motor vehicle theft. The victim stated they parked their car the evening before and when they returned in the morning, they observed damage to the lock on the driver’s side door. There was no entry gained to the vehicle.”
