Car Hits Nutley Women As They Cross Street: Police

A vehicle hit a 61-year-old woman and a 63-year-old woman from Nutley as they crossed the street, police say.

NUTLEY, NJ — Montclair police are investigating a pedestrian-car strikes that injured two Nutley women on Friday, authorities say.

A vehicle hit a 61-year-old woman and a 63-year-old woman – both from Nutley – as they crossed the street near the intersection of Valley Road and Bellevue Avenue in Montclair around 1:55 p.m. police said.

The pedestrians were not in a crosswalk at the time of the collision; emergency responders treated both for pain on the scene, authorities said.
