Car Stolen From Nutley Resident’s Driveway, Police Say

NUTLEY, NJ — A car was recently stolen from a Nutley resident’s driveway, authorities say.

According to the Nutley Police Department, the vehicle theft took place Aug. 23 on Conover Avenue.

Here’s what happened, authorities said:

“Officers responded to Conover Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle theft. Officers met with the resident who stated their white Cadillac was stolen from their driveway. The resident stated they came home from the store and left their car running in the driveway because they were only going inside of their residence to drop something off and come back out. The resident stated when they came back outside, they observed someone inside of their vehicle backing out of the driveway. The resident was unable to describe the party inside of their vehicle or the vehicle the party came from.”

The area was canvassed and the detective bureau was notified of the incident, police said.
