Car Stolen In Nutley While Owner Rearranges Vehicles: Police

Someone stole a car in Nutley while its owner was rearranging vehicles in their driveway, police said.

NUTLEY, NJ — Someone stole a car in Nutley last week while its owner was rearranging vehicles in their driveway, police said Friday.

The Nutley Police Department released the following details about the theft, which took place Jan. 4 on Mountainview Avenue:

“Officers responded on report of a motor vehicle theft. The victim stated while rearranging vehicles in their driveway one of the vehicles was left parked and running on the street when an unknown party exited a burgundy Toyota, entered their vehicle, and fled the scene.”

The surrounding area was canvassed and the detective bureau was advised, police said.
