Christie's Becomes Leasing Agent for New Belleville Development

BELLEVILLE & MONTCLAIR, NJ – November 7, 2019 – Christie’s International Real Estate Northern New Jersey, an exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, voted Christie’s Affiliate of the Year in 2017 and 2018, and the fastest growing real estate brokerage in northern New Jersey, announced today that its Montclair Office has secured an agreement with Sound Development to be the leasing agent for Ethos, its new apartment development at 558 Franklin Avenue in Belleville.

Donna Keena, a Christie’s agent based in Montclair who will serve as the leasing agent, assisted the developer in establishing the necessary professional team to make application to the Township of Belleville and supported the team through all required municipal approvals. The Ethos development replaces a gas station and several aged buildings on the Belleville/Nutley border, transforming the look and feel of the neighborhood.

The new development, which broke ground on October 29, will feature 56 studio and one-bedroom apartments. The building, which boasts stunning architectural features and on-site parking, will feature a rooftop lounge, a first-floor commuter lounge, and an on-site gym. According to township officials, they anticipate this project will be the first of a series of developments that will bring additional tax retables to the Township, helping to stabilize and offset its tax burden.
