Clara Maass Earns Nod From US News For Heart Treatment Program

BELLEVILLE, NJ — U.S. News & World Report recently recognized Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville as a hospital with a “high-performing” congestive heart failure treatment program.

Earlier this week, the publication released its list of “Best Hospitals,” evaluating more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide. See New Jersey hospitals that made the 2019-2020 U.S. News & World Report ranking list.

As part of their research, U.S. News & World Report also pays tribute to hospitals that provide treatment for nine specific procedures and conditions. The methodology is based on factors such as risk-adjusted outcome rates, volume, quality of nursing and other “care-related” indicators.

This year, Clara Maass earned a “high-performing” rating for congestive heart failure in recognition of care that was “significantly better than the national average,” administrators said.

“This is a proud moment to see that Clara Maass Medical Center has been nationally recognized and has earned high marks this year from U.S. News and World Report” said Mary Ellen Clyne, president and CEO.
