The Medical Center Foundation's annual Golf Invitational at Montclair Golf Club in West Orange raises $195,000 to enhance cancer services for Medical Center patients.

The Clara Maass Medical Center Foundation’s annual Golf Invitational will aid cancer patients at the medical center, after the May event raised $195,000.
The event teed off at the Montclair Golf Club in West Orange with more than 150 golfers and guests participating in the annual event, according to Kathy Toscano, director of Public Relations for the medical center.
The day started with a brunch with a special guest, former New York Yankee catcher and Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Yogi Berra, who resides in Montclair.

After a day on the green, attendees took part in a cocktail and awards dinner reception, a 50/50 fund raiser and a silent auction, Toscano said.
Special guest and anchor of the WABC-TV morning and noon news, Ken Rosato attended the cocktail and dinner portion of the evening and assisted with the awards ceremony.

“We thank our golfers and sponsors for their generosity to our Medical Center,” said Jane Newman Kessler, Vice President, Clara Maass Medical Center Foundation. “With their donations, these individuals, businesses and organizations show their dedication to health care and allow us to continue to provide our patients and community with the most comprehensive cancer care.”
The Clara Maass Medical Center Foundation is a not-for-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. Foundation officials said the foundation is committed to helping donors fulfill their personal charitable and financial planning goals while providing needed support to the medical center.
Located in Belleville, Clara Maass Medical Center provides a complete continuum of care to residents of northern New Jersey, Toscano said.
