Coronavirus Cases Rise In Belleville Over Thanksgiving Week

Here's how many COVID-19 cases Belleville saw during the holiday.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — There were an additional 160 coronavirus cases confirmed in Belleville over the week of Thanksgiving, according to county statistics.

Prior to the holiday, public safety officials across New Jersey warned people to be careful if they planned to visit family members. Advice included avoiding travel, limiting the size of gatherings, wearing face masks and social distancing.

On Monday, Essex County officials released cumulative COVID-19 totals for each township, noting that the report may not match state or municipal totals (here's why). Local health departments may reassign places of residence, also affecting case totals.
