‘Dispute’ At Nutley Basketball Court Ends When Cops Arrive: PD

NUTLEY, NJ — A basketball game in Nutley ended with a fight that summoned police to the scene last week, authorities said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, several police units responded to the basketball courts at Yantacaw Park on March 14 after getting a report about a possible fight.

When police arrived at the courts, a large group of people fled the scene. Officers found a juvenile nearby, who said that he was assaulted after an “on-court dispute.”

No injuries were reported, police said.
