Drivers Leave Scene Of 2 Car Crashes In Nutley: Police
A pair of separate car crashes recently took place in Nutley, with drivers leaving the scene of the crash in both cases, authorities said.
NUTLEY, NJ — A pair of separate car crashes recently took place in Nutley, with drivers leaving the scene of the crash in both cases, authorities said Friday.
The Nutley Police Department released the following details about each crash.
March 4 (River Road) – “Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in which one of the vehicles fled the scene. Three parties in a 2022 Volkswagen were broadsided, causing airbag deployment. No one reported being injured; the other vehicle fled the scene.”

March 7 (Passaic Avenue) – “Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Passaic Avenue near Ideal Court. Driver of vehicle told police that he came to a stop to allow a resident to pull out of their driveway when he was struck from behind. The second vehicle then left the scene and was located by police. Officers observed the vehicle with heavy front damage. Officers identified the driver and issued her summonses for failing to report an accident and leaving the scene of one.”
