Local man found with 13 syringes and hundreds of empty heroin folds in his car during traffic stop.

A Nutley man was arrested after police found 13 syringes and “many” empty heroin packages in a car during a traffic stop on July 28.

According to Nutley police, after witnessing a vehicle hit the curb twice, officers stopped the driver and saw “many glassine folds and syringes” in the passenger area. After arresting the driver - Justin Pearly, 33 – police found hundreds of empty heroin folds and 13 syringes on the floor and seats of the front cabin “in plain view.”

Police transported Pearly to headquarters without further incident.

He was charged with possession of CDS, possession of paraphernalia, possession of paraphernalia syringes, received motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle and open container in a motor vehicle.
