Easter Bunny Arrives Early at Good Shepherd

Children enjoy crafts, having photos taken with Easter Bunny

The Good Shepherd School’s Easter Bunny Luncheon was “awesome,” according to Debbie Mastroni, who organized the event.

Good Shepherd School is part of the Holy Family Church in Nutley.

The recent event drew double the number of children and families as last year, Mastroni said.

The children were treated to working on five or more different Easter crafts. More costumes than expected were available for the late morning event, so children were entertained by two “extra” flowers and a ladybug, Mastroni said.

Seven local pizzerias contributed free pies for lunch, which also included a juice box and a cupcake for each child, she said.

“The Easter Bunny tried to dance with every child, and patiently sat for photos with all the children,” Mastroni said.

The gym was decorated with kites, butterflies and a 35-foot rainbow that had the kids saying “ooh” and “ah,” Mastroni said.
