Easter Egg Hunts Planned In Belleville, Nutley For 2023
The Easter Bunny is expected to drop by both towns this year. Here's when, and where.
BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — The Easter Bunny is expected to drop by Belleville and Nutley this year, and there are activities planned in both towns, including egg hunts for kids.

There is an Easter egg hunt planned in Belleville for Sunday, April 2. It was originally scheduled for April 1, but was postponed due to the weather forecast.
According to a post on the Belleville Township website:

"Everyone is invited to an Easter Egg Hunt presented by Mayor Michael Melham and the Township Council on Sunday, April 2 at School Number 7, from noon to 2 p.m. Sensory-friendly at 11 a.m. There will be an Easter Bunny, Treats, Inflatable Rides, Face Painting and so much more! Dimples The Clown will be making an appearance as well."
NUTLEY
Nutley will kick off its annual Easter event season with a “Great Flashlight Egg Hunt” on Thursday, April 6 at Reinheimer Park.
According to a municipal news release:
“The township’s Department of Parks and Recreation is inviting Nutley youngsters from grades two through six to bring their flashlights along and spend an evening of fun searching for over 3,000 toy and candy-filled eggs scattered throughout the park. One lucky explorer who finds the special hidden ‘golden egg’ will receive a large chocolate filled basket. The Great Flashlight Egg Hunt will begin at dusk; parents are encouraged to stay with the children during this event. You are never too old to join in Easter traditions. Bring your friends for this exciting scavenger flashlight hunt!”
Reinheimer Park is located on Bloomfield Avenue across from the Recreation Annex Building. Children are asked to meet by the playground equipment to begin the festivities, organizers said.
A rain date has been scheduled for April 8.
The Nutley Department of Parks and Recreation will host their annual Easter Eggstravaganza for Nutley youngsters (3 to 7-years-old) from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 8.
According to Nutley officials:
“Residents are welcome to come and visit our friendly farm zoo featuring goats, sheep, rabbits, chickens, ducks and more. Bunny tractor rides, pony rides, face painting and snacks will also be available for children to enjoy. Children will also be greeted by the Easter bunny himself, who will be handing out candy-filled Easter eggs. Don’t forget your camera to snap a picture with the Easter bunny. The event will take place at Memorial Park I (Mud Hole) located at the corner of Vreeland Avenue and Passaic Avenue. The Nutley Park ShopRite has co-sponsored this special event for our community to enjoy.”
