Elks Host 'Hoop Shoot'

Marty Higgins won the Hoopshoots contest sponsored by the Youth Activities Committee of the Nutley Elks.

He then went on to the state contest at South Plainfield High School and won that contest too. Higgins also participated in the regional finals in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., on March 25, where he came in second place.

Th Nutley Elks Lodge #1290 honored Higgins at a recent meeting. He wass presented with a personalized basketball shirt by Exaulted Ruler Robert J. Mulligan Jr.
