Essex County College President Gale Gibson has been removed from her position pending a probe into alleged misuse of school resources, a report says.
The university’s Board of Trustees has suspended Gibson, who has served as president since 2013, NJ.com reported.
The college has facilities in Newark, West Caldwell and Cedar Grove.

"At this time, the board believes that suspending Dr. Gibson from her duties as president is in the best interest of the students and will help protect the integrity of the institution," Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo Jr. told NJ.com. "It is the board's decision, which I support and respect."
