ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Authorities released the latest coronavirus death totals for Essex County on Monday.

According to Essex County officials, 18,059 people have tested positive for COVID-19 as of Monday, with 1,706 deaths linked to the disease, a 9.44 percent fatality rate.

According to the New Jersey Department of Health, there were 164,164 confirmed cases statewide with 12,176 deaths as of Sunday, a 7.42 percent fatality rate.
