Essex County Man Charged With Burglary In Belleville and Bloomfield
Homeowners allege that they awoke to find a 22-year-old man in their residences, police say.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Bloomfield police have arrested a 22-year-old man suspected of committing burglaries in their jurisdiction as well as Belleville, authorities say.
According to the Bloomfield Police Department, Jermaine Ramirez, of Newark, is suspected of committing two burglaries at Weaver and Lexington Avenues. Police said that on both occasions, the homeowners allegedly awoke to a noise early in the morning hours and found Ramirez in their residences.
Ramirez then allegedly fled the homes before police could arrive, authorities charged.

After conducting a joint investigation with Belleville police who reported similar incidents in their jurisdiction, Bloomfield officers identified and arrested Ramirez on Sept. 1, charging him with two counts of burglary.
Ramirez also faces an additional burglary charge in Belleville, police stated.
