Essex County Shooting Victim Identified

A 21-year-old East Orange woman has been identified as the victim of Monday night’s shooting on the 200 block of N. Maple Avenue.

Tyeshia Obie was found shot around 8:39 p.m. while sitting in a vehicle. She was was transported to University Hospital in Newark where she was pronounced dead.

At this time, no arrests have been made. The investigation is active and ongoing. Additional information will be released when it becomes available.
